Sort of embarrassed to admit, but Shaun T really kept me going today, the motivation was extremely helpful. By the third round I was really wasted, and listened closely to Shaun T yell “Dig Deep”. Good God almighty, thanks for coming out. You’re down in plank from the Level 2 drills through in and outs. In this one, you’re doing a lot more moves from the plank position which really blasts your shoulders, arms, and triceps. The second circuit just about killed me today, I did have to stop a few times for a second or 7 to catch my breath and stop my shoulders and arms from burning. I guess mountain climbers get your arms involved, but it isn’t a push-up. This round of exercises is mostly your legs and cardio.

The first circuit wasn’t so bad, my heart rate was teetering between 176 and 184 (doing an estimated 15 second count), but I didn’t completely run out of breath. Props to her, she did P90X Yoga X when I was done so I can’t give her too hard of a time. I responded with nope, still have the cardio circuit to do and she just laughed at me and walked away. Just as the third round of warm-up was finished my wife came out to make sure nothing was going to fall apart and asked me, “Oh, you’re already done?” Yeah… not so much, she saw how drenched I was and just figured it was the end. As I mentioned before, I’m doing Insanity on our summer cottage porch, which to say the least, isn’t very sturdy. Very smart idea, don’t go too hard out of the gate or you’ll find yourself struggling to keep up during the third round. I learned yesterday for the warm-up to keep pace with Shaun T and the others doing the DVD. Plyo Cardio Circuit was on the menu twice this week and the second time seemed to be harder than the first probably due to the fact that I just did Pure Cardio yesterday. Since I’ve already reviewed Plyometric Cardio Circuit from Day 2, I thought I’d give a little insight into how difficult this morning’s workout was.
